Kelsey Posted January 21, 2009 Posted January 21, 2009 (edited) Hello All, Ive been writing a rock climbing guidebook for Alaska which will include Hatcher Pass, Puriton Creek, Wiener Lake, Ravine Lake, Byron Glacier, Spencer Glacier, Tram Rock, and a few other little areas thrown in. Full color, 180 pages...all that jazz. I have a website up for it at http://www.alaskarockclimbing.com. I am writing so that anyone who has any comment can let me know. Any route information you want to divulge or favorite routes. Really anything, I'll answer all emails. email me at prezwoodz @ hotmail.com Also selling advertising in it because it will be self published. I hope to have it out in the next few months before the season hits. There will also be a release party at the ARG coming up in the future. Hope all is rocking over here! AMF has been down for a few months because of domain troubles but will be up in the next few weeks as well. Peace! Kelsey Edited January 21, 2009 by Kelsey Quote
Jake_Gano Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 I buy one. What's the story with AK mt forum? Quote
SandMan Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 nice Kelsey. Can't wait til the book comes out and the mountain forum comes back up. Quote
Kelsey Posted January 22, 2009 Author Posted January 22, 2009 The site that was hosting the domain went out of business and decided to take it along. Then when I was finally able to get it back they said they wanted $160 for holding fee's. Couldn't do anything about it so I had to pay it but I fought it for a while. Quote
dkoz Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 Can't wait for the book, and the forum to come back. Yo SANDMAN. How's Balad? Flyin into the Ruth April 12. Wanna go? Quote
johnkelley Posted January 25, 2009 Posted January 25, 2009 AMF SUCKS! Ever check out Kelseys post? There all advertisements for his web forum or questions that a two year old would know the answer to. Guide book? Didn't you just start climbing? Another kid with a fresh college degree in how to make $ out of what we do with our vacation time. Quote
Kelsey Posted January 26, 2009 Author Posted January 26, 2009 Hiya, JK. I don't climb on my vacation time because I climb more then I work. I suppose that means working is my vacation. Then I take it and make it climbing work and heck I just don't know what to do with myself but write a much needed climbing guidebook for AK! Quote
SandMan Posted January 29, 2009 Posted January 29, 2009 Hey Dan, its going well. THe mortars don't hurt near as bad as you think. I'd love to go to the Ruth with you. Can you pick me up? Quote
McGinnis Posted February 5, 2009 Posted February 5, 2009 Kelsey, Hopefully John told you of the spot in the Valley that we put bolts up on before I left. I still need help deciding a name for the wall and the route though. Let me know if John doesn't have the info and i'll help you out. Quote
Kelsey Posted February 10, 2009 Author Posted February 10, 2009 Hiya McGinnis Ya John let me know about it and I considered putting it in but never got the time to head up there. I will probably do that this summer so I may tap your brain then. Quote
