billcoe Posted October 27, 2008 Posted October 27, 2008 always test your views in your own household. hmmm, my wife isn't white, but she's generally an anti-socialist Obama supporter married to a gun owning libertarian believer - pretty much. (My 2 priorities: balance the budget and get gov't off my ass) Kill whitey....oh, shit, wait, that's me. Hey, my sons first day visiting the town where his college is, there's a parade he's at. Walking down the street behind him he hears a local yell "White Power". He said he turned to look but no one wanted to wave or even make eye contact, let alone claim such a statement. Nice to have new experiences. Quote
joblo7 Posted October 27, 2008 Author Posted October 27, 2008 'get the gov off my ass' begat enron, begat bank "crisis"/bailout/robbery.etc etc. show no authority/control in your home and see how your teenagers behave later. we have democratic anarchy because your views are mediatised and totally warped.insidious domination by fear and threat. socialist-principled-democracy works best.of the people, for the people, its real fukin simple. america is neither. democracy is a farce, here. its, of the rulers, for the rulers.of the banks for the banks.of the war machine , for the war machine, of the oil industry, for the oil industry. Bug Posted October 27, 2008 Posted October 27, 2008 "Get Gov off the backs of business." was a Reagan line. Funny how he failed to mention that it meant big business and he proceeded to drive small businesses out of business at an unprecedented rate by giving huge corporations huge advantages in tax structure and monopolistic tactics. One example was the formation of the Farmer's Alliance which directed funds to lobbyists who pushed corporate farming legislation. The small family farmer all but went extinct under Reagan and they voted for him, sent him their money and probably still think he is the greatest president ever. Propoganda is great stuff. Quote
el jefe Posted October 27, 2008 Posted October 27, 2008 libertarian philosophy (lack of government regulation) is what landed us in our current economic predicament. libertarian view of human nature is naive at best, the reality is that economic elite will always attempt to game the system to their own benefit in the absence of third party (i.e., government) oversight.
