Spiral_Out Posted October 15, 2008 Posted October 15, 2008 Was wondering if anybody out there has used La Sportiva Spantiks for splitboard/mountaineering. Any feedback you can give is really appreciated. Cheers Quote
tradhead Posted October 15, 2008 Posted October 15, 2008 I've used my Nepal Tops with my splitboard for years. They don't ride like snowboard boots but are fine. Quote
Jones N. Posted October 16, 2008 Posted October 16, 2008 i've also used La Sportiva mountaineering boots for split board touring for years. i agree, not quite as good as high end snowboarding boots, but good enough. sometimes i think split's are better for some types of touring than fishtail x-country skis or tele's because you've already got your crampon compatible, warm, comfortable boots on and you don't have to carry anything else. but, the split board does suck on the flats. Dane Posted October 17, 2008 Posted October 17, 2008 You can make the Spantik as stiff or as flexable as you like by adjusting the lacing. If they fit they should be a fun boot for it. I use mine on touring boards just fine. Quote
