Anyone been to Enchantments lately?

I'm going this weekend. Considering doing some scramble around the area. I'm doing Dragontail and Colchuck one day, Little Annapurna and Witches tower the second. How are the conditions now? crampons/ice ax needed? Thanks.

If you are doing the Colchuck glacier, you will probably encounter hard, low angle ice. I would take one ice ax and crampons for that.

Otherwise, do a different route or skip Colchuck altogether.

expect hard snow and ice; late summer conditions.

The first pic here is the Colchuck glacier as seen from the base of Serpentine a few weeks ago; might be a little thin for climbing. FYI; maybe you're thinking a different route, though.
