jared_j Posted May 22, 2008 Posted May 22, 2008 Any of ya'll have trail runner recommendations that don't have tons of mesh on them? Most trail runners I've found online seem to be very mesh-y. Looking for something that isn't going to instantly let snow in on summer alpine adventures. Doesn't need to be 'waterproof', just more water resistant than my road running Brooks Adrenalines, or the La Sportiva Exum Ridges I tried out. Looking here for recommendations on what you've used , not what you have seen on the internet. Quote
FatTexan Posted May 22, 2008 Posted May 22, 2008 I just use my Montrail Hardrocks with the Smartwool Adrenaline ankle socks. Both dry out fairly quickly. I just ordered a pair of the Gore-Tex Hurricanes but I can't tell you about them 'cause I don't have them yet. Quote
DPS Posted May 22, 2008 Posted May 22, 2008 My current trail runners are Vasques and are much more water resistant than any other trail runners I have used. http://www.sierratradingpost.com/p/,96476_Vasque-Endorphin-Trail-Running-Shoes-For-Men.html Quote
NateF Posted May 22, 2008 Posted May 22, 2008 I've also got a pair of Vasques that I can recommend. I forget the exact model, but it's their trail runner/approach shoe that has stealth rubber soles. They are very lightweight considering the durability of the uppers. I did need to add some cushion to the insoles under the ball of my feet, but that's my only gripe. I'll get back to you with the model name later if you're interested. Quote
