Theft within the climbing community?

I used to leave my hiking gear at the base of alpine routes and climbing gear at the bottom of crags and so on, im nervous about doing that anymore now. At least Harrison isnt really busy and basically all the climbers know each other

 

there isnt too much fighting about stuff out here
