Don_Serl Posted December 8, 2007 Posted December 8, 2007 a huge slide has obliterated a section of the road along Chehalis Lake: http://www.canada.com/vancouversun/news/story.html?id=ae204ac7-ba52-4d89-b82c-943ffc19e184 presumably the road will be re-built thru the slide area, but I imagine that depends on how much logging is planned in the near future in the upper valley, if any. plus the stability of the debris-field will come into the decision. could be a long walk to the Chehalis group next summer. more news when available... cheers, Quote
cheamclimber Posted December 9, 2007 Posted December 9, 2007 ouch...that sucks^ I'm glad I wasn't in the campground when that happened! Quote
Stemalot Posted December 9, 2007 Posted December 9, 2007 access via Mystery Creek should be fine. also, depending on which Chehalis group one is going to, access should be ok. Quote
cheamclimber Posted December 9, 2007 Posted December 9, 2007 taking mystery creek makes the drive a little longer..but at least theres still access... Quote
G-spotter Posted December 9, 2007 Posted December 9, 2007 I've got a bunch of aerial photos of the slide from helicopter, but legally I can't post'em yet. Quote
