tvashtarkatena Posted October 4, 2007 Posted October 4, 2007 Specifically, a few 10#, 5#, and 2.5# plates, standard (small hole) size. Iron only; no plastic please. I you ain't usin' 'em, I will. Quote
builder206 Posted October 4, 2007 Posted October 4, 2007 (edited) I use Olympic bars (what you would call "big hole") so I can't help you directly but Big 5 has standard plates on sale often. Check their pullout ad in each Sunday's paper. You might also check craigslist. Schools and thieves often sell weight gear there. One question---why such light plates? You using plate-loading dumbbells? (plate loading dumbbells are the way to go for a home gym) Edited October 4, 2007 by builder206 Quote
tvashtarkatena Posted October 5, 2007 Author Posted October 5, 2007 Thanks for the info. Yes, I'm using plate loading dumbells. I'll also need to get a barbell bench press setup real soon...either that, or incur a back injury. Olympic hole size would be fine for that. Quote
