mountainmandoug Posted August 1, 2007 Posted August 1, 2007 I am in the process of building a rack and trying to keep it light. I recently ordered #5-#8 Metolious Ultra-Light Power cams. These cover from about 1.1-2.9 in. I suspect at some point I'll end up buying a couple of smaller cams and I'm wondering weather it would be better to get 3cam units or four in the sizes from about .5-1 inch. What do people think? kevbone Posted August 1, 2007 Posted August 1, 2007 Go four.....go four.....when it comes to bigger cams.....tri is scary. Quote
Dannible Posted August 1, 2007 Posted August 1, 2007 I'd say 3 for anything from orange down (not sure what the sizes are). I have tcus and 4s in a few sizes and when I only bring one of each I bring the tcus because they work in so many places that the fours don't. I have taken 3 falls on tcus, including a size 0 that walked itself passive, and all have held. Quote
RuMR Posted August 1, 2007 Posted August 1, 2007 hexes all the way...they do double duty as cowbells and windchimes also... Quote
catbirdseat Posted August 1, 2007 Posted August 1, 2007 Need I say, you can use knots. They do it in Germany. Quote
