ZONK Posted October 20, 2008 Posted October 20, 2008 Great spot ! I like poking around up there. Dont be spreading the word or next thing you know there will be rules and fools up there ! Quote
drater Posted October 20, 2008 Posted October 20, 2008 Yeah, that's what I thought 15 years ago. A little too far from anywhere to be anything more than a full weekend expedition. Snakes biting climbers helps with population control too. Quote
andyf Posted October 21, 2008 Posted October 21, 2008 It was looking a little overgrown and lonely up there this summer. Quote
Tokogirl Posted October 21, 2008 Posted October 21, 2008 Hey Drater, Looks like I will be in Omak for work on Thursday, possibly Friday for a day or just half a day...........would you be willing to show me this spot? I usually work in Omak once or twice a month. Quote
drater Posted October 21, 2008 Posted October 21, 2008 Tokogirl, you should PM the OP in this thread, he's the local cc.com representative. I live in North Idaho now. I'm sure he'd love to give you a tour. andyf, ain't that the truth, always feels that way to me. although rumor has it, there's been a resurgence of activity lately with some strong climbers moving to the Omak area. some d00d flashed one of my projects, always good for teh soul. MtnClimbr Posted October 21, 2008 Posted October 21, 2008 Let me know if you head out thursday or friday, I wouldn't mind catching up with you guys. I'll be moving to Omak full time for work this wednesday (tomorrow). Thanks Drater, sweet pics, looks like fun. Quote
Tokogirl Posted October 22, 2008 Posted October 22, 2008 Howdy MtnClimbr, Looks like I will be out in Omak for only one day not two and it will be work, work, work until I leave around 4ish. So, perhaps in the next two weeks. I'll let you know what I hear from Sargent Rock. Drater the pics do look good. Quote
drater Posted October 22, 2008 Posted October 22, 2008 (edited) Drater the pics do look good. Naw, it's loose vile choss that will tear your skin to shreds and explode in your hands. But don't take my word for it. Make sure to have SGT ROCK show you the 135' V7 traverse he put up when he was like 50. Starts here... rolls thru here... tops out the left arete of this cave... And yes, the participants in the first two pics are filthy dabbers. Edited October 22, 2008 by drater Quote
MtnClimbr Posted October 27, 2008 Posted October 27, 2008 Filthy dabbers...? That doesn't sound good. Looks like those are super aggressive climbing shoes in the first pic. That cave looks great...! Quote
drater Posted October 28, 2008 Posted October 28, 2008 He doesn't really use his feet so it doesn't matter. It's alright...nothing harder than v2 in there. heh. Quote
