Cutting dynamic rope

Are there any special requirements for cutting dynamic rope? Or does the regular cut and singe work the same as for static cord?

wrap a piece of tape around the rope. Cut in middle of tape. Tape keeps ends from unravelling. melt rope end with flame (candle recommended, lighter gets hot) to bind sheath and core together. remove tape.

Take it to your local climbing shop they should do it for free with their hot knife (rope cutter)
