I've use the Exposure 50 for 2 seasons for everything from 3-day winter climbs to short summer stuff and like it. It's light, handles moderately heavy loads well and is comfortable. I wish it had two "side pockets" for pickets - also, the one it does have is small and you have to really jam to get 3 pickets it and since the pocket is made from light weight nylon it can tear (mine did). The "straight jacket" feature on the back holds a shovel pretty well.

I'll second that. I've used it for BC skiing and as a general cragging pack and it's fantastic. It's light for the capacity and load-bearing capability, while still being made of a relatively burly material. I haven't had the occasion to carry pickets, although I too wish the little pocket at the bottom of the side panel was on the other side as well. Inset material (hypalon?) crampon patch is sweet. Solid pack for sure.
