I think there are 3 gyms in anchorage; and as far as SE AK is concerned I think the only two are in Juneau. For a listing of crags you should check out rockclimbing.com they have a pretty good data base.

I don't know about Petersburg or Ketchikan. As far as Anchorage goes, check out the Alaska Rock Gym (www.alaskarockgym.com), I'm pretty sure that the college has a rock wall as well if you are a student or are buddies with one. For going outside, check out www.rockclimbing.com, go to Routes-North America-United States- Alaska-Anchorage Area Rock and Ice-Seward Highway (or other areas of interst). Good luck.

It's been a few years since I was last in Petersburg, but given it's quite small size I'd be very surprised if there was any kind of rock gym there. As for Ketchikan, while it's somewhat larger than PB, I doubt it.

There is no gym in Ketchikan, there are a few local crags though. Either PM me, or contact the guys at Southeast Exposure when your up there, someone there usually knows where they are.

If you have time, take a boat out to Misty Fjords and check out the huge granite cliffs there. I would love to go back one day and get some climbing in up there.
