New Cordillera Blanca Rules/Restrictions?

Anyone have their Peruvian crystal ball as to whether anything will be enforced?

I would say that it is unlikely. They just don't have the resources to enforce it. Maybe I'm wrong but even if they did have a way to enforece it you would be able to grease the wheels with a few american dollars.

that was my thinking as well. When I was in Huaraz in August I didn't hear much about it.... I just don't want to be surprised if I decide to head down there.

anyone have an update on the new rules. how was the enforcement for the 08 season?
