kixx Posted March 26, 2007 Posted March 26, 2007 Any body know where good weather reports for mountain areas in BC can be found? Quote
stinkyclimber Posted March 26, 2007 Posted March 26, 2007 Alpine forecasts used to be available for free from Environment Canada, but they are now mainly a paid service. Leaving you at the mercy of Environment Canada's general forecast at linky. Whistler pays for an alpine forecast which you can view at linky. This would be good for the Squamish-Pemberton corrdior. For interior ranges, someone else likely knows where to pick up the equivalent free alpine forecasts - likely thru the ski resorts, or heli-/cat-skiing outfits. For the coast mtns north of the bridge river, good luck. The dry-side of the coast range can probably be interpolated fromt the Lilloet forecast. Quote
stinkyclimber Posted March 26, 2007 Posted March 26, 2007 Weather report? Weather forcast? What is there a difference - do you mean you are looking for historical coniditons or current conditions? The forecasts include a "current conditions" section if that is what you are getting at. Quote
jmace Posted March 26, 2007 Posted March 26, 2007 (edited) A weather report would be one where I could find out what the temp/precip...has been like or is right now. A forecast is a just that a forecast... Unfortunatley none of those links provide current or past weather reports like this one for the top of Whistler... Peak Maybe its just my terminolgy... kixx Posted March 26, 2007 Author Posted March 26, 2007 Thanks Since I have nothing right now a forcast or report would be great and what you gave me is at least a starting point besides the typical "consumer grade" information available. Quote
