David Trippett Posted February 28, 2007 Posted February 28, 2007 What routes are accessible from the resort on skis?....I'm heading up this weekend with the relatives and may sneak off to climb something conditions permitting. Blackcomb? Fissile? Fitzsimmons? any fav's? Quote
G-spotter Posted February 28, 2007 Posted February 28, 2007 have fun with the meter of freshiez. the climbing should be superb if you can dig down to it Quote
jordop Posted February 28, 2007 Posted February 28, 2007 Routes on Blackcomb should be fine with some sections of snow, not "a metre of freshiez" South side of Blackcomb gets lots of wind and is quite blasted when Singing Pass area can hold deep powder for weeks. Quote
David Trippett Posted February 28, 2007 Author Posted February 28, 2007 freshiez?! On skis? That's gonna suck!! thanks jordop Quote
jmace Posted February 28, 2007 Posted February 28, 2007 Keep in mind the fr level forecast for the weekend ~ 2000m Quote
G-spotter Posted February 28, 2007 Posted February 28, 2007 fuck ya, who needs Scotland when you can climb rotting, melted out mixed routes in the rain right here in BC! Quote
David Trippett Posted February 28, 2007 Author Posted February 28, 2007 conditions not looking so good are they? Call Andy Kirkpatrick.....I'll bring the Hagis! Quote
jordop Posted February 28, 2007 Posted February 28, 2007 I wanna do a route around here that tops out in a godammned hay field like they got in Scotland. That Kirkpatrick movie at the the VIMFF was so British it was hilarious, what with the 500 sq ft flat in Sheffield, the late night spice shop dinner, swinging tools at powder . . . Quote
Ponzini Posted March 3, 2007 Posted March 3, 2007 West side route(s) on Tremor are on my list to explore, don't think they're climbed too often. Could be day trippable in later spring? Need a nice forecast though. Quote
David Trippett Posted March 5, 2007 Author Posted March 5, 2007 FYI....Saw lots of FAT blue ice at the Farm on Blackcomb. The Office is in similar shape (word has it).... Husume Buttress may be coming in soon as well with the all the snow and melt/ freeze...?? Quote
