cheap place to stay in Salt Lake?

I'm heading to SLC for some ice climbing the week between Christmas and New Years, and am looking for cheap hotel recommendations, especially with kitchenette, although just ones where you can get away with using a Coleman stove work too. Anybody?

If you don't find a place on this board try couchsurfing. I did a road trip recently using there services and had a great time.

If you're housebroken and know someone I know (or someone who knows someone I know) who can vouch for you I'd consider letting you pitch camp in the basement and use the kitchen.

Nice find, I just checked out the couchsurfing.com and that is a cool idea. Perhaps cc.com should start a couchsurfing forum among members? Cool idea, may get me some showers when I head to red rocks.
