tpiddy Posted December 7, 2006 Posted December 7, 2006 Hey all, looking to come down from Vancouver and trying to find some dry boulders the weekend after next. I was checking leavenworth out and I have heard good things. Weather forcast looks good, but are the boulders climable around this time? Too much snow, residual wetness, etc.? Also, is there a guide anywhere that would fill us in on the best spots. Mostly looking for problems v5 to 8 range. Any logistics would be greatly appreciated, thanks a lot. Quote
bwrts Posted December 7, 2006 Posted December 7, 2006 kinda covered with snow and ice. better to go to hueco Quote
sexual_chocolate Posted December 7, 2006 Posted December 7, 2006 yeah i'd think it'd be pretty snow covered, and gold bar would prolly be wet, prolly. Quote
Stella Posted December 7, 2006 Posted December 7, 2006 There's definitely dry stuff there. But bring a tarp, broom and propane torch just in case and you'll be fine. Also, call leavenworth mountain sports and check the town webcams. But hell, GB is dry now. Get on it Quote
smithisheaven Posted December 7, 2006 Posted December 7, 2006 The Tumwater and Icicle river valleys are pretty wet and snowy right now. My friend has a yurt up the 'cicle and he has 4 feet of snow. Might be a little late for any DRY bouldering round here. Usually Thanksgiving is about the end of it. Quote
