jibby Posted November 28, 2006 Posted November 28, 2006 Is there any bouldering up in Capital Forest? I've heard rumors that there is some near Rock Candy Mt. Quote
Off_White Posted November 28, 2006 Posted November 28, 2006 Not that I'm aware of, but go check it out. Marching around in the woods will at the very least keep you out of trouble. Maybe you'll find a motherlode like Kix found on Tiger Mountain. Quote
Drederek Posted December 1, 2006 Posted December 1, 2006 Rode around cap forest quite a bit in the early 90's. Don't recall a single cliff but do remember riding over some large rocks embedded in the abandoned road/trail up the Big Rock Candy Mtn. You'll find something if you look hard enuf I'm sure. GL Quote
chirp Posted December 2, 2006 Posted December 2, 2006 Rock candy mtn has some exposures, but the Eocene age basalts arent exactly stellar. They are however a sweet place to find Zeolites, which is why I used to go up there. OH, and some really fun singletrack too! Quote
