G-spotter Posted October 16, 2006 Posted October 16, 2006 Coastal Climber organized a big group (60 people!!!!) to brush out the Center Creek road on Saturday. The road is currently alder-free from the creek crossing (walk a log) to below Rexford. Good for mtn bike or about 1.5 hours of walking. I was home sick in bed myself. Good job Gerry! Quote
Ponzini Posted October 16, 2006 Posted October 16, 2006 A small cairn marks where the route leaves the road to cross the creek and head towards Rexford. Some V0 problems were sent on a large boulder just below the toe of the NE ridge - bring your crash pads, lots more to do! Quote
luwayo Posted October 16, 2006 Posted October 16, 2006 during freshet or highwater otherwise, enjoy the creek x-ing on most nastiest, slime secreting log. ...before chainsaw gerry or chainsaw wulf take that fun away from you Quote
G-spotter Posted September 27, 2008 Author Posted September 27, 2008 If you don't give a shit about your paint job and get the keys from the hatchery you can drive up Center Crek all the way to across from Rexford right now. It'll be better next year once the timber sale goes through though. The crew was just in today finishing up welding the new bridge together. Quote
dberdinka Posted September 27, 2008 Posted September 27, 2008 I find it hard to believe there is anything left to cut up in Center Creek unless they're harvesting slide alder. Quote
