pu Posted September 27, 2006 Posted September 27, 2006 How hard is it to descend the N side of sherpa pass to Mtnr creek? Will the E ridge of Sherpa require any rappels? Please help. Joe Quote
scottgg Posted September 27, 2006 Posted September 27, 2006 We climbed it earlier this summer (July), and on the east ridge made one 30m rappel, one downclimb of a fixed rope, and several hundred feet of down climbing to make it to a snow couloir which we decended to the basin on the north side of Sherpa and Argonaut. But I bet that snow chute has melted out by now. Quote
MCash Posted September 28, 2006 Posted September 28, 2006 The East Ridge is rated 5.0 but probably has a couple mid 5th moves on it. I had no trouble going up and down ropeless. You won't need any rappels Joe. Quote
