StephenBecker Posted August 25, 2006 Posted August 25, 2006 Anyone have some crampons they're willing to sell for a reasonable price? I'd prefer something like the Petzl Sarken (with LeverLock bindings) or G14's with New-matic bindings. My boots don't have front bails, so I'm not interested in full step-in bindings. I'd prefer $60 and under. If that's too low for you, sorry. Quote

Don_Serl Posted August 30, 2006 Posted August 30, 2006 my 2-bits worth: pass on the Sarkens, buy the Vasaks. the former has "clunky" front points; the latter climbs superbly anywhere, anytime. my faves... cheers, don Quote
StephenBecker Posted September 20, 2006 Author Posted September 20, 2006 I think I'm postponing any crampon purchases for now Quote
whidbey Posted September 25, 2006 Posted September 25, 2006 I think it's funny a little bit... What the fuck is wrong with the sarkens Don... These climb verticle ice and are not that big a pain in the ass the rest of the time. As from above...paid less than 100 after tax... whats not ok about that?... You tell me. Love them for most climbing Quote
