olyclimber Posted June 19, 2006 Posted June 19, 2006 Does anyone have a big panoramic picture of Index (the town, river, etc) taken from Smokeout Ledge or anywhere higher on the Upper Wall from around this time in the year? Bonus points if there is a train going through in the picture. For use as a background image on my computer. Thx. Quote
MisterMo Posted June 19, 2006 Posted June 19, 2006 Yes, sorta. A little earlier in the year. Somewhere in the archives, amidst all the jillions of photos of town from the top of the wall, is a wide angle shot, with a train in it, taken in June...but just exactly where escapes me at the moment. olyclimber Posted June 19, 2006 Author Posted June 19, 2006 Thanks Mayor Mo! What would really cool is a super wide pano with this shot that went all the way over to include Mt. Index. If I had not forgot my digital camera, I would have taken one. Hopefully the pano prints I took from the disposable camera will turn out. Quote
MisterMo Posted June 19, 2006 Posted June 19, 2006 Lemme see what I got. It's a little tough on accounta when the light is OK on Gunn, you're shooting into the sun on Index/Persis & vice versa Quote
MisterMo Posted June 20, 2006 Posted June 20, 2006 Hopefully the pano prints I took from the disposable camera will turn out. I deleted all the Index stuff from that day cause it was crappy & backlit. Hope yours turn out. The crappy pic below isn't going to make anyone's desktop but I thought it was sort of cool to see how the snags were once many and the live trees quite dinky. Davis Holland P2, spring 1970. Quote
olyclimber Posted June 20, 2006 Author Posted June 20, 2006 Very cool. Love the old pics of Index Mayor. Quote
