crazy_t Posted May 18, 2006 Posted May 18, 2006 Hey people, has anyone been skiing around the pass the last couple of days? I had kind of ruled out a morning session due to this weeks temps, but wondered if anyone had been up there. I read the Tooth TR 5/16, and would be wanting to be skinning by 6:30 am so I can be back to town late am and beat the warming. Thanks in advance for any info! Quote
pbelitz Posted May 18, 2006 Posted May 18, 2006 I dawn patrolled Alpental yesterday. Started skinning at 5:40, skied off the top at 7. Very warm. Good corn on upper and lower 'nash. Groomers were still in the shade, but not bad. Plenty of snow. Paul Quote
RuMR Posted May 18, 2006 Posted May 18, 2006 man, what is wrong with you people?? Jeezus, GO CLIMBING...give skiing a rest... Quote
crazy_t Posted May 18, 2006 Author Posted May 18, 2006 (edited) Thanks, Paul, just what I was looking for. Do you think backcountry snow is worth messing with, or is it more a groomers-only reality? Regardless, I'll probably go up on your schedule and get back earlier than I had originally hoped, which suits the homefront reality well. Edited May 18, 2006 by crazy_t Quote
