minx Posted May 15, 2006 Posted May 15, 2006 than i am of it. after regaling my poor husband with tales of black bear encounter on Sunday, he reminds me of this backcountry truism "the bear is more scared of you than you are of him". I am unconvinced given the cavalier way the bear strolled past. Quote

archenemy Posted May 15, 2006 Posted May 15, 2006 I thought you WERE the cougar that roams the area. That is the "tasty cougar that roams the area" to you mister Quote
minx Posted May 15, 2006 Author Posted May 15, 2006 (edited) hahaha...dru, you're so pathetic when you're trying to be clever. i hope the bear eats you. Edited May 15, 2006 by minx Quote
gavastik Posted May 15, 2006 Posted May 15, 2006 How come there's no "yes and no" option? If you surprise the bear, you're pretty scary. If it's used to people, you probably aren't (mind you, I've never met you, so I couldn't say for sure). The tasty morsels are those Gu packs and Luna bars in your pockets -- the black bear doesn't eat people. Hating to take sides, Paulina (who saw a black bear only once, at a distance, and was very scared) Quote
G-spotter Posted May 15, 2006 Posted May 15, 2006 Predatory black bear hunts down, mauls cyclist in Banff to a starving juvenile black bear, YOU are food. Quote
