alipneH Posted February 19, 2006 Posted February 19, 2006 Good morning everyone, So, starting next weekend I have 5 days off and got this wild idea about climbing Mt. Olympus solo. given the recent weather am i setting my self up for failure or a good few days off. -thanks for your opinions Quote
whoohoonickieclimbs Posted February 19, 2006 Posted February 19, 2006 Mt. Olympus's weather looks better than Spokanes! I'm sure you have the right clothing and equipment to handle the cold. Hypothermia isn't something to mess around with. But I'm sure you know that! If you can administer an IV you could always bring saline with you and administer warm IV if your core gets down to low. Ha ha! Quote
sicprobo Posted February 21, 2006 Posted February 21, 2006 You have five days. Why don't you just go, and see if you get a good day? The only thing is being by yourself might get boring waiting around a few days for good weather. Be careful, you tend to lose your jackets and gear when you are hiking around by yourself. (grin) Good Luck, Mr. Alpine! Quote
