Macson Posted February 10, 2006 Posted February 10, 2006 It looks like it might be nice out Sunday. Anyone interested in some moderate trad cragging at Erie? I'd like to go up there around noon or 1:00. Quote
luwayo Posted February 10, 2006 Posted February 10, 2006 i'm interested. pm your home number. but i might have to hit the hay around *8pm tonight*; gone all day saturday. proly return home *~8pm saturday*. Quote
Blake Posted February 11, 2006 Posted February 11, 2006 What did you have in mind? (can't go, just looking for Trad beta) Seems like there's zigzag and about 2 other decent scattered single pitch routes..... where's this trad cragging @ erie? Quote
Macson Posted February 11, 2006 Author Posted February 11, 2006 I'm at the office and don't have it with me but the new guidebook lists a couple dozen trad routes. Mostly moderate single pitch stuff. Still, it's close and fairly dry so it works for me. There are trad lines on the summit wall, powerline wall and snag buttress among others. Quote
Blake Posted February 12, 2006 Posted February 12, 2006 Yeah, there are a few here and there. I love climbing at Erie, but it does seem like all the trad is 5.9 and easier. I suppose i should just get good enough to lead Frogs in Space. Quote
