Couloir Posted February 3, 2006 Posted February 3, 2006 (edited) I didn't want to highjack Avitripp's thread, so I'll ask it here. Like Tomtom, I have some Verticals as well. Do you replace the existing liners with the Intuition ones or do they somehow work in conjunction with them? This maybe a stupid question, but I like the way the current liner's sole is, but I wouldn't mind a little better fit. How does this work? Edited February 3, 2006 by Couloir Quote
David Trippett Posted February 3, 2006 Posted February 3, 2006 You are welcome to highjack...as long as you are asking good questions. They replace the whole liner. You should get on that deal TomTom pointed out if they have your size.... Quote
Couloir Posted February 3, 2006 Author Posted February 3, 2006 So, what about the nice tread and slight heel that exists on the Verticals? Do the new liners have some sort of tread and heel on the bottom? It's hard to tell by the picture. Thanks Quote
David Trippett Posted February 3, 2006 Posted February 3, 2006 I dont think so....but I don't know for sure. I think thats how they save some weight, by not having that. Â Anybody know? Quote
tomtom Posted February 3, 2006 Posted February 3, 2006 No, there is no tread or heel. Â When you get the liners, you throw them in the oven until they are soft. Then you stuff them in your boot shells, insert your footbeds, and then put them on. As they cool, the liner hardens to the shape of your boot shell and foot, so the outside of the liner perfectly matches the inside of your shell. Quote
Dru Posted February 4, 2006 Posted February 4, 2006 It can be hard to get the Intuition liner to mold to the haal cup of the Koflach shell that the heelpiece on the stock liner sole fits into, so you might wanna cut some blue foam and pop it in there first before you stick the warmed Intuition in to mold Quote
