carversprint Posted January 5, 2006 Posted January 5, 2006 (edited) Climb: Grotto, King Creek, Weeping Wall-Her's, Grotto Falls, Weeping Wall Center & Right Date of Climb: 12/27/2005 Trip Report: Wish I could post pictures, but that will have to wait. Current conditions- cold and nice ice but not as much as normal. After a bit of a warm spell there wasn't much water and the routes were narrow and thin but still very doable. There really isn't much ice (a little more than rime) on Weeping Wall Center but the rest is GREAT in terms of quality: Plastic, not drippy, best of all- there aren't that many folks climbing. Left Weeping wall is reasnoably formed, right is in. there is no 'cave' in the center. The cold is expected continue and there hasn't been much snow so they should be nice for a while. King Creek, closer to Calgery, has reformed well. We have been able to get in quite a bit of climbing without much interference from other parties Edited January 14, 2006 by carversprint Quote
Weekend_Climberz Posted January 5, 2006 Posted January 5, 2006 Nice trip. It's nice to know you are already breaking off climbs for the end of this year!! P.S.: I'm assuming you really meant 12/27/2005 Quote
carversprint Posted January 14, 2006 Author Posted January 14, 2006 More to the story. These two pictures show Leesa on the top rope she set up on an M5. The original goal was to head up to the top of the flake and get ready to fall. She stepped out and rounded the corner to the outside and rocketed to the top. Quote
