Kevin_Matlock
Uh.... when I banged in some arbitrary figures I got this: Major Global Changes: The Earth is not strongly disturbed by the impact and loses negligible mass. 6.64 percent of the Earth is melted. Are these guys optimists or what?
Gary_Yngve
I shattered the Earth into an asteroid belt.
MCash
It's fun when you put yourself near the blast zone of a big one. Something like: you are consumed by the fireball, then your ashes get dropped into a massive crater, then those ashes are vaporized and turned into the melt pool, along with shaken by a Richter Scale 13 earthquake, blown apart by a 5,000 mile per hour shockwave, and burried under thousands of feet of ejecta particles. That sounds like what I did on my Christmas vacation.
