Winter Posted November 30, 2005 Posted November 30, 2005 (edited) Congressmen Blumenauer and Walden are holding hearings this weekend, Saturday, December 3rd to take public input on the Mt. Hood Wilderness Bill. Please try to make it if you can. This is a critical piece in the puzzle for permanently protecting Cooper Spur. Please contact me if you want more information or a set of talking points. Thanks! We will present our Blueprint of Principles and Actions to address the concerns that have been raised throughout the years, including wilderness, watersheds, recreation, transportation, Native American rights, forest stewardship, and land exchanges. Chad_A Posted December 1, 2005 Posted December 1, 2005 Bump. I'm going if at all possible. It's nice to hear about the bipartisanship, and about the congressman actually hiking the Timberline trail. 75,000 new acres of protected land and 15 more miles of protected waterways sound good. That's assuming we have the money to protect it? Discuss. Thanks for posting that, Winter! Quote
