David Trippett Posted November 18, 2005 Posted November 18, 2005 (edited) I heard these are going to be discontinued? True? Why? Edited November 21, 2005 by avitripp Quote
rhyang Posted November 18, 2005 Posted November 18, 2005 Are these the ones where you can screw them in, but the crank is useless for taking them out ? Quote
David Trippett Posted November 18, 2005 Author Posted November 18, 2005 maybe that's the problem....? Quote
l0930 Posted November 21, 2005 Posted November 21, 2005 These start super easy, but the crank is shit for cleaning cause it doesn't lock into place. They start easier because they are cut with a dramatically different angle then Express screws, ect. Some kind of reverse angle thread that probably isn't as safe for falls either. Quote
snodger Posted November 21, 2005 Posted November 21, 2005 I'm just guessing but they've probably been replaced by this: HELIX I think the americana and the new helix both used the same tube with the reverse threads as the tried and true 360. although it seems countrer intuitive, they say the reverse thread angle actually distributes the forces better than BD's standard threads, although i'm sure both work well and it's more a matter of personal preference and marketing BS Quote
