I'm looking at a used pair for a pretty good deal and am wondering how would they perform for an all purpose ice tool for steep alpine, mixed and some waterfall use. Thanks in advance. Dru Posted November 3, 2005 Posted November 3, 2005 Pretty good for steep snow and moderate ice in the alpine (nice and light), sucky (light head and not-that-great pick) for steep ice. Maybe OK for mixed as long as you mean hooking jugs on less than vertical rock. Quote
