So can anyone give me a little beta on what climbing either one of these peaks this time of year might be like. I will be down there for the next couple of weeks and these seem like reasonable objectives given the limited time frame I will have. Are the routes so strait forward that they could be done in poor weather conditions? (I dont mind a little snow)

Straight forward. Snow will only cause navagation issues at best (more on the approach than on the route as both standard routes are ridges).

October is a great time of year for these 2 routes. Bad weather might spice things up a bit, but even then it shouldn't be too tough. However, I think 3FJ would be significantly more difficult if the Cliffhanger trail or the Crawl were covered with snow - but that would require a pretty big dump. Also, a cold wet spell might form ice on the summit of 3FJ.
