Time for another thread about pine martens

Was down in Cali recently, a couple minutes up the trail from South Lake (near Bishop) I heard a little noise on the downhill (closer to the lake) side of the trail. A few moments later a head pops up, followed by the rest of the body. It paused in the middle of the trail for a moment to look at me before it disappeared into the brush on the uphill side of the trail. I'll be damned if it wasn't a marten dragging a fish about half it's size. I'm not positive if it was a marten, definitely weasel family, dark reddish brown w/ lighter chest/belly. Anybody ever heard of them catching fish before? I thought it was possible it stole it from an angler down at the lake. Anyway, quite a sight. Sorry, no pictures, it moved to quick for me.

I've read the fishers eat martens. Or is it the other way around?
