Snaffles on the Ptarmigan Traverse?

I've read several threads about the route, but how's the snaffle situation? Looking at doing it w/ a couple buddies starting Sunday. A little iffy on the weather but that's the timeframe that works for everybody.

Are the goats on pee patrol throughout the night?

there is very little traffic along this route in general, so the wildlife concerns (bears, goats, and snaffles oh my!) are really minor compared to other areas that you might be used to, incl Boston Basin, Wa Pass, and Enchantments.

Spent a night at Cache Col just because I'd never done it, there are camps above the col, either side.

 

I would not stay there again as there was a very persistent snaffle.

 

Otherwise generally snaffle free.

Unfortunately my trip got canceled at the 11th hour. We would've had a couple of really nice days followed by some crappy weather.
