Zoran Posted May 27, 2005 Posted May 27, 2005 (edited) Three members of Search and Rescue team from Vancouver are in critical situation, stranded in bad weather on Mt. Logan. Team of 5 is 3000ft bellow unable to move up and assist the group. Weather is very bad and I hope they have enough equipment and strenght to fight hypotermia. At this moment there are no more details than this. Edited May 28, 2005 by Zoran Quote
snoboy Posted May 27, 2005 Posted May 27, 2005 Just heard Tim Jones on CBC - Apparently the climbers are at ~6000m, temps about -25 to -30*C They are members of a team that is making the climb to celebrate the 40th anniversary of North Shore SAR. Quote
fern Posted May 27, 2005 Posted May 27, 2005 6000m would put them 100m above the summit of Logan. But I guess the point is that they are up there quite high. Quote
snoboy Posted May 28, 2005 Posted May 28, 2005 Latest report I heard was that they were at 18,000', I guess it was some sloppy conversioning. Quote
