TimL
What type of rack would you reccomend for this route considering you might solo it? How is it rapping the route. Anything special to consider?
dberdinka
The UTW aid routes tend not to have consistent size cracks so you don't need a huge rack. A set of micro nuts, a complete set of stoppers, two sets of cams to 2" plus 1 set 2" to 4". 1 cam hook and 1 skyhook are neccessary as well. I've always used a big hook too but I doubt it's essential. Green Drag-On has a lot of pin scars compared to other lines so Aliens, offset brass and camhooks come in very handy. bigwalling
Hmm, I'd say that is good but forget anything bigger than 3.5 friend. And ya only bring one of them. I would say stoppers to #8 and then some Hb brass offsets. Don't think you need any hooks. Maybe if you didn't free the face at the end of pitch 4? Sol
I bring one #2, one #2.5 and one #3,no #3.5 or#4. i find a #2 ballnut useful on the second pitch.
