Alpinfox Posted February 21, 2005 Posted February 21, 2005 Middendorf's Home Page His BIG WALL SLIDESHOW is especially cool. Quote
foraker Posted February 21, 2005 Posted February 21, 2005 His comparison of the 1996 and 2003 A5 catalog is especially sad! Quote
chirp Posted February 22, 2005 Posted February 22, 2005 Thanks for the link Alpinefox! Amazingly I have since lost my early catalogs, but I remember in 1987 (while working at Devils Tower) calling up A5 and ordering his hammer. He answered the phone and we chatted a bit before he filled my order. Cool and amazingly down to earth chap. Quote
gosolo Posted February 26, 2005 Posted February 26, 2005 Kewl slideshow. I hadnt looked at his site in a long time, it looks like he has been working on it. If anyone is looking at the Nose in a day, or even trying to climb it efficiently, I can vouch for his rack and beta. However, in an old Climbing Mag John had a much better Nose Topo although the one on there now works. I climbed with him at a gym before he was giving a show and he really is a down to earth nice guy. Quote
