Norton or McAfee?

which antivirus/internet security software do you like? Norton, McAfee, other? and why?

my subscription to Norton I.S. just expired.. thinking of going with McAfee now instead.. partially cause I've heard it doesn't slow your system down nearly as much as Norton. pls. discuss

 

if your only advice is to buy a Mac:

i don't wanna hear it.

if your computer is fast, you won't feel the slow down with Norton. actually, I've never had an issue with Norton slowing down my computer...slow or fast cpu. from my experience, Norton seems to catch more bugs than McAfee.

not entirely sure this is true but we just put mcafee on our new computer and we've had nothing but problems. not that we've had any viruses but we're always getting some error or another. little stuff but it's a nuissance. i used to have norton and never had a problem with it.
