Ibuprofen, Acetaminophen, or Aspirin?

I remember an over-the-counter pain med that was available in Canada that had caffeine, acetaminophen, and codeine all in one pill. Is it still available?

That would be the 222, which is a weaker version of the American Tylenol 3. About half of the Seattleites in my former medical practice seemed to stock up on these every trip to Canada. But if 222's are caffeinated, that's news to me.

Best to stick with beer for painkilling...

It sure is starting to look like a "class effect" for the COX2 inhibitors.

 

I plan to continue to take naproxyn for occasional pain. You'd have to take it every day for chronic pain to increase your risk of heart attack or stroke.
