Don_Serl Posted November 4, 2004 Posted November 4, 2004 ... also the heel piece of the sarken is identical to the dart (which petzl also sells replacement front pieces for) so instead of kicking for 2 pairs of pons just buy one pair plus a front piece for the other and then rotate the front piece: mono or dual. brilliant. would also allow one to buy the sarkens with the leverlock, if the spirlock or sidelock bindings don't work on your boot heels (or if u don't like 'em), then buy and add in the dart fronts. tks, might try the darts that way... cheers, Quote

John Frieh Posted November 4, 2004 Posted November 4, 2004 Good clarification... The Sarken is available in sidelock (moving back heel bail w/ plastic lever thingy) and spirlock (no plastic thingy)... embarrassingly enough I have both The Dart is only available in spirlock... so if you have a Sarken spirlock (or dart) already save yourself some cash and buy only the front piece and rotate the back piece... Note: if you have neither and plan on purchasing both buy the complete sarken as it comes with the antibot plates attached where the dart doesn't (which costs more anyways). If you have the sarken spirlock (which it sounds like you do Don) then you are stuck buying both... PS I love my darts. And sarkens. Quote
rhyang Posted November 25, 2004 Posted November 25, 2004 (edited) Are the dart monopoints offset ? I just tried on the leverlock sarken and it worked much better on my boots than the spirlock binding. Sweet ! edit: err, never mind. petzl website says they are offsets. Jedi Posted November 25, 2004 Posted November 25, 2004 really? I thought they were wider horizontally than the G14's You are correct Chriznitch. They are wider. I just meant they were similar in design with a vertical frontpoint that has a horizontal section on top. Quote
