Jeebus Posted October 9, 2004 Share Posted October 9, 2004 does anyone use a knee brace for rock climbing? I had a medial meniscus tear and it moves laterally every now and then. I have used a Mueller hinged brace with great success and relief for hiking but the brace is not going to work for rock climbing because it does not allow my knee to bend fully. The_Inscrutable_Gargoyle Posted October 10, 2004 Share Posted October 10, 2004 I use one, my right knee cap has dislocated twice and left subluxated once (popped out and popped back in in the same moment). I have overly loose joints. Its the white colored ACE bandage. Its made of fabric and has metal support down the sides, sewn inside the fabric there. dosent hamper rock climbing movements, and makes me feel super secure on hard moves.
