suckbm
Does anyone know how much a pair of Makalus in size 46.5 weighs?
texplorer
heavy
johndavidjr
I replaced my Makalus in August with Garmont Tower. Advertised at 1.69 pounds each, and I think 2/3 weight or less of earlier boots. Makalus are very nice though. I used them on limited basis for five years and still like them. Braumeister
As Bryson would say, "Heavy fuckin' shit!" Â For a serious answer, www.lasportiva.com

Chriznitch
I've been rolling a pair of these for a while. Certainly not the best for a lot of trail hiking (approaches), but a good alternative to mixed climbs where warmer temps neglect the need for heavier plastics.
