Peter_Puget Posted September 3, 2004 Posted September 3, 2004 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Friday, September 3, 2004 TIME Poll: Campaign 2004 BUSH OPENS DOUBLE DIGIT LEAD, ACCORDING TO NEW TIME POLL --- AMONG LIKELY VOTERS, 52% WOULD VOTE FOR PRESIDENT GEORGE W. BUSH, 41% WOULD VOTE FOR JOHN KERRY, AND 3% WOULD VOTE FOR NADER New York – For the first time since the Presidential race became a two person contest last spring, there is a clear leader, the latest TIME poll shows. If the 2004 election for President were held today, 52% of likely voters surveyed would vote for President George W. Bush, 41% would vote for Democratic nominee John Kerry, and 3% would vote for Ralph Nader, according to a new TIME poll conducted from Aug. 31 to Sept. 2. Poll results are available on TIME.com and will appear in the upcoming issue of TIME magazine, on newsstands Monday, Sept. 6. Weren't the Kerry supporters say he didnt get a bounce because there were so few undecided voters? Sounds like alot of people must be giving Kerry the boot..or...the Kerry supporters were full of BS.. Well maybe both Quote
scott_harpell Posted September 3, 2004 Posted September 3, 2004 I want to see what RNC does to these numbers. I think the Kerry campaign is in big trouble. Kerry's attacking Bush's military record was a big mistake. THose that care about that issue arelready care about it. Those that don't... don't. Why bring it up and look petty? Quote

Sounds like alot of people must be giving Kerry the boot..or...the Kerry supporters were full of BS.. Well maybe both Let's see what happens during the debates, when Kerry is there to unravel Bush's lies as fast as he can tell them. I think Kerry will make the case that rather than being "tough on terror", Bush is most competent at providing motivation for terrorists. When the facts are exposed simultaneously, America won't be scared into voting for a reckless chicken-hawk (not twice). Quote
Lars Posted September 4, 2004 Posted September 4, 2004 Let's see what happens during the debates Bush handled Algore easily in 2000, and Kerry has his work cut out for him. "I won 3 purple hearts" will not be an acceptable answer to foreign and domestic policy questions. Quote
