Representation/Impact Poll Questions

Discussion has been floating around as to how much of the local Northwest climbing community is represented by CascadeClimbers.com, and how much impact the contents of this board have upon how the climbing community is perceived.

I couldn't figure out how to edit the poll questions, and Klenke brought up a good point about lurking, how much posting, etc.

 

The first question pertains more to how many climbers even GO to this board, AT ALL.

Not the breakdown of lurking, posting, etc.

 

Also, Northwest Climbers, not ALL climbers.

There are times when this site is very positive and times when its very negative. since the spray was separated out I'd say its half good and half bad.

More importantly, who cares - I mean you go to rockclimbing.com and you get the sense the climbing community is a bunch of clueless gapers, you go to rec.climbing and everyone's living in the past talking about the good ol' usenet days.... pick another interest community at random, like octopus fanciers or shoe collectors, and you will find spray and flaming that makes cc seem normal. So basically, non issue.

I'd say that a very high percentage of the people doing condition dependent trade routes check here for information, though I would wager that about 90% are lurkers.
