Skeezix Posted June 16, 2004 Posted June 16, 2004 There used to be a carefully constructed stone chair ...kind of like a cross between a throne and a Barcalounger... on the slabs above the upper climber's camp in Boston Basin. It's gone now, but it was there for quite a few years. Anybody remember it? --or know who constructed it? It was so finely built that the climbing rangers left it in place for quite a few years even though the normal policy would be to deconstruct such installations. When one sat in it, you were facing Forbidden. Quote
chelle Posted June 16, 2004 Posted June 16, 2004 Sounds cool. Too bad I missed out on it during my last two trips up there. Quote
Alex Posted June 16, 2004 Posted June 16, 2004 I remember that. I don't know who built it, but I remember it still being up in BB around 1998. 'twas probably wiped out by avalanches eventually, unless some intrepid climbers/rangers thought it was an eyesore (doubt it) Quote
SublimeSalamander Posted June 18, 2004 Posted June 18, 2004 (edited) I have to do some serious digging but I think I might have a pic of it somewhere. If I can find I'll scan and post. Edited June 18, 2004 by SublimeSalamander Quote
