BRT Posted May 22, 2004 Posted May 22, 2004 (edited) Does anyone know the current conditions for the Sandy Glacier Headwall route? We plan to climb it this weekend. Edited June 2, 2004 by BRT Quote
iain Posted May 22, 2004 Posted May 22, 2004 Move quickly on the traverse between Yocum Ridge and SGHW. You are directly in the line of fire for anything off the upper buttress. People have been shelled there. The route itself can still be in good shape that time of year. Hard to say with the relatively dry spring. Not a lot of people signing in for that route lately (not to say it has not seen some activity). Hope that helps and good luck! Quote
ivan Posted May 22, 2004 Posted May 22, 2004 rock fall is a good thing to be worried about there...i ain't the only one who's been plunked by crap falling from way up high on the route Quote
