Distel32 Posted May 17, 2004 Posted May 17, 2004 day one of trying to become a better sport climber: Jen and I drove up friday afternoon, did Zoe (10a, 25m) and it is a really fun climb. The first 20 or so meters is under vertical and then you get a nice little bulge at the top with huge jugs, then a couple mantels and you're at the top of the crag. I highly recommend this route. Well protected balancy fun climbing. We then walked over to Pet wall and checked everything out. Went to the lower area and I thought I was leading Pleasant Pheasant. By about the 6th bolt I was starting to get pretty pumped and thought I was a big wuss. After finishing the climb and after Jen TRed it I was complaining about it being f'ing hard for 11a. Consulted the guidebook and figured out we'd done Air BC. Pretty fun climb, not fantastic, really long, I think 28m. After that I really wanted to get on Youth Gone Wild but it was getting close to 7:45 and we didn't want to hike out in the dark. Psyched to go back, that sport climbing stuff is pretty fun Quote
Distel32 Posted May 17, 2004 Author Posted May 17, 2004 really long, I think 28m. yeah yeah, laugh it up, you just wait until I get into a little better endurance shape mister! At least I didn't start to get pumped until around the 6th bolt, that was like a PR or something Quote
