Beckey's Time estimates - how are they?

So, I know every guidebook usually needs some correction factor applied to it's travel times.

 

How are Fred's times?

The more popular climbs (the ones that get more feedback perhaps ?) have much softer approach times than do the more obscure ones.

 

For me, I'm doing well if I am close to the Beckey time on the less traveled routes and beat the time by a factor of two on the more popular ones.

My experience is, the easier the route, the more the time is padded. For example I did Mt. Pugh in about three hours less than he says, but the west ridge of Thompson peak (car to car) in just about his estimate.
